Juvenile Salmon Usage of the Skeena River Estuary

good read.

a line from near the end of the report....

"Collusion. Fraudulent. Corrupt. These are not words I associate with the federal approvals process. We need to be raising hell before similar ‘science’ is used to approve Kinder Morgan."

those three words at the beginning of that sentence describe DFO, CEAA, NRcan, and both levels of government (federal and provincial) quite well. they're nothing more than environmental terrorists blinded by their greed for power and money. the wolves guarding the henhouse.

I look at the date of the article, consider the current state of affairs with skilled tradesman and suspect it won't be as bad as people want to make it out to be. Lots has changed in the 2.5 years since it was written.

I always get stung by old dates... Lol. Being a business owner in trades I get little worked up when outsider come in to "help" with projects. Use the same labour pool and extend the contract finish. Keep Canadians working

That's pretty sad. Good luck trying to build your own personal dock for your boat in an area with eel grass. That will get kiboshed real quick. But if you want to build an oil or LNG terminal in ecologically sensitive eel grass areas that's all good. Same old same old from Ottawa. The more things change the more they remain the same. Get out the big rubber stamp for any big dollar mega project it can't be ok'd fast enough for the politicians these days. Very sad direction our country is heading in.

Agreed completely TBG. Although in directions - it can always get worse. Just look to the South...
