Insane fish counts...

So stumbled across this place on youtube...while within 'legal' limits, it blows me away the shear numbers of fish they are taking down in California. This is ONE boat and I rough counted about 40000 rock cod and 3000 ling cod annually (not including the rest of the fish). Seems thats probably pretty close to the #'s for ALL of BC as rock cod goes.
Pretty insane - I guess we were there once with our 8/day, but you'd think Cali would wake up and see what happened up here and control the excessive catch currently so they too don't become what we are now.

Yeah, i think they are allowed 10 rockfish per person per day........insanity

Those are quite small Rockfish and they do have a lot of them-few people in BC would bother spending money to target fish that size.
