Not sure how often we recognize the great work the RCMP and Coast Guard do in our communities.
Yesterday late morning we arrived at south bank. Fished for 30 minutes and engine died. To make it worse the fitting to the primer bulb on my kicker broke. Dead in the water. Tofino coast Guard took control. Received an offer for a tow from a local guide at standard towing rates (not sure what standard rates are, but I wasn't negotiating and appreciated the offer). RCMP boat from Ukee heard the call. They were at Swale Rock and made the trip from Swale to us. Towed us in, dropped us off at Eagle Marine and were on their way.
Never got a chance to say thank you.
Thank you to member McKinney and auxilliary member Webb, and all others on board RCMP vessel, for taking the time to come to our aid and getting us to dock safely. We sincerely appreciate your help.

Minor repairs done, and we were back to Clutesi by 6:15 pm.

Thanks also to all those that pay their taxes too. Nice to see results from our hard earned doe. Rather see them use it that way then waist it on stupid things like hmmm....gun registry?
