Heriot Bay Area fishing

We are spending the weekend at Heriot Bay, will have the boat with me. Any tips/hints/advice for fishing around that area? Also, is there any crabbing around there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We camped at Heriot Bay 2 years ago and at Taku last year. Just going for 2 nights this time so renting a cabin at Taku. Very interested in the ling and snapper.

There is prawning out front of the spit never did well on crabs lots of oysters clam diggers work out of there not sure where they go salmon fishing at Read Island is nice and protected they also fish off the outside of the spit and the rocks for salmon there is a couple big RCA area in the area but there are some big ling and snapper around love the Quadra trips we usualy camp at the Heriot Bay Inn rv site lots to see and do.

Try fishing around Rebecca spite, the rock pile,(half way down to south end of Quadra) then try around the green can. Cannot help you on crabbing, but pawning is fair to good all along the spots mentioned. ......BB
