Now hiring for the 2014 season.
Not only are we looking for the best guides on the coast, we are looking to fill the following positions
Cook

Great Pacific Salmon Lodge is a 9 guest Lodge overlooking Prince Rupert on Digby Island.


We are looking for the following:

Cook

This position requires someone with better than basic cooking skills (set menu), The ability to host and cook for up to 9 guests + Staff
Food Safe would be appreciated, but must be willing to take it if not certified
First Aid would be appreciated, but not necessary
A friendly, outgoing, service orientated attitude is must

All accommodations and meals are supplied.


Our Season runs from Mid May till Mid August

Manager
This onsite manager will be responsible for overseeing a staff of approx. 3-4
Daily duties will include but are not limited to
-Customer service
-Lodge organization
-Paper work
-Accounts receivable
-Accounts payable
-Payroll
-Boat maintenance
-Lodge maintenance

Required for the job
SVOP
First Aid
Food safe

Customer service skills and reliability are paramount to being successful in this field
Someone with Salmon fishing experience would be preferable.
Please note, part of your job will include operation of the Lodge boat. Experience is a must.

We would consider a couple to fulfill both roles.

We are located on a small island over looking Prince Rupert.
We run 24 foot Skagit Orcas and a 24 foot Sea sport.

Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Experience: is an required.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate.

Specific Skills: Advise on safety and regulations, Prevent legislation violations

Additional Skills: Operate and maintain watercraft, Operate communication (including emergency) devices, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Maintain equipment, Prepare fish for shipping.


Work Location Information: Staff accommodation available, Room and board provided, Rural area, Remote location, On-site customer service

Essential Skills:Customer service, Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Continuous learning

Other Information: Must have a Small Vessel Operator Proficiency Certificate, Med A3. Roc-M or higher certification, ocean boating experience a must, preference will be given to applicants with previous fishing guide experiance

If only I could join you Jamie. I would be all over it. Hope you get a great chef in to work at your great operation! Sounds like you will have a good season again.
