Gordon Davies collection of - Hardy Rods and Reel & Sage Rod

I acquired these items from a friend, who was Gordon’s niece. I am now putting them up for sale, in a variety of places. If you are seriously interested, please pm me. I will then photograph them as requested.

I am located in Victoria.

Hardy 10’ 10 mooching rod (circa 1970-80)). I believe this was built by Gordon. It has been used and has a little wear, rough spots on the tip end of the rod. Comes in the custom built aluminum tube Gordon made, with his engraving on it. Best offer will be accepted

Hardy 8.5’ 6# fly rod (circa 1970-80). I believe this was also built by Gordon. Comes in the custom built aluminum tube Gordon made, with his engraving on it. Best offer will be accepted

Sage Graphite B896GFL 9.5’ 8#. Comes in the custom built aluminum tube Gordon made, with his engraving on it. Unfortunately the reel seat brackets have been damaged. Best offer will be accepted.

Hardy Bros Marquis Salmon #2 Reel and two additional spools (circa 1960-80). Reel is in original leather case, with custom made PVC protection. The 2 additional spools are in custom built pvc cases. Best offer will be accepted.

was in Alnwick a few short years ago, wife gave me the nod to buy a Hardy in the shop, had one chosen.......................then saw the "Made in Hong Kong" sticker and about c****** my pants.
What a disappointment.
make sure if you buy one that it isn't a knockoff

@Smiley thanks. The pics were pretty clear, where these were made and also sold by the time you posted this; but you brought up a good point - brand name doesn't always mean something. My only regret now is I didn't include a caveat of an 'intro day steelhead fishing' with the sale!
