Gold River to Tahsis - River & Lakes

I regularly drive Head Bay Road from Gold River to Tahsis, (living in Tahsis kind of makes that happen ).

Is there anyone here who has done any fishing in the many rivers and lakes along the way?

I'd like to drop a line for some trout or whatever is available, but I haven't fished fresh water in years. Is it worth the effort?

What type of gear would I need? And where should I fish?

The Conuma has a hatchery program I think. There should be a couple steelies in there this time of year.

Iv'e heard that as well, some steel in the Conuma,have always wanted to fish it ,the Gold is as far as i have gotten to so far as far as north island flows go.
