Gabriola Ferry - sailing waits?

Does anyone have any idea/experience at how busy the Ferry would be when leaving Gabriola Island for Van Island on a Sunday afternoon ( this weekend ) mid day or early afternoon ? Would there likely be any difficulty getting on this ferry if one was to arrive 20-30 min before sailing ???

I work on Gabriola Island quite a bit. During the week I like to get to the terminal by about 12:50 to be assured to get on the 1:50 boat. Traffic can be extremely heavy at this time of year. I've spent to many hours waiting in lineup there because we were 10 minutes later getting to the terminal.

we dropped the vehicle at the terminal just after a ferry had left then walked up the road to Roberts for lunch for an hour then walked back down with 5 minutes till 1250 ferry departed. we were 2nd on the ferry and no stress, no waisted time , some good food and some exersize to boot!
