"do you know where your barbless hook was imbedded before the fish shed it?????"

quite a few are foul hooked and most don't know that, or hook slips out and slashes a fishes flank or re-hooks on the outside?????

if you get the fish to the boat and can release him/her or bonk then you know for sure where the fish was hooked
but how many are hooked on the outside ????

so many guys stating that there losing fish makes me wonder why there not getting good hook-ups

barbless hooks can and do cause damage just as much as a large barb can, but in a different way
and why is sporty tackle sold with bloody big barbed hooks anyways
if regs state that saltwater should be barbless for salmon??????
why not include a barbless in the packet

errrrr- on what? I have no idea where you are coming from. Please explain what you are trying to determine.

But if you are talking about barbed hooks on lures-- ask Derby. he will give you a lesson on the economics of tackle purchases in BC vs the rest of North America.

It wouldn't make sense for tackle companies to package tackle that is only suitable for sale in bc. For bc, and the other rare places that demand barbless, we can crimp if we need. No need to sell everyone else useless hooks that will never get used
