I wanted to notify you of the recent decision to reduce the daily limit of Prawns in BC. Effective April 1, 2020, the daily recreational limit for all Shrimps, including Prawn, will be reduced to 125 (aggregate limit). The combined possession limit for all Shrimps including Prawn, will remain at 2 times the daily limit, which will be 250 (aggregate limit). This will apply coast wide. Attached to this email is a background document with some important information around this decision. This decision was consulted on with the SFAB over nearly 4 years and was made under DFO’S precautionary management framework and is intended to be a longer-term sustainable management measure.

Thanks,
