Fishing at Hippa Island with West Coast Resorts on this day in 2016.
This is the end result of when a sea lion decides to attack the Chinook I was fighting for fifteen minutes. Picked it clean, left the head and hooks. Very talented sea lion.
Did not get to meet @hippaisland on that trip though!

Spent many years at Hippa as Captain and fishmaster aboard the Charlotte Queen, the weather behind you looks like June in the Charlotte's, this is also the week that over the years all the biggest fish were caught. 69# , 64 , 61, too many in the 50's to count. So many good times and great guests. We also had a couple bad years with Salmon Sharks even landed a few and believe me they are excellent eating.

Great photo! I drove past your lodge twice a day every day. My trip and that photo was on this day six years ago. Your experienced eye can see how lumpy the water is out there.
