Electric motor suggestions for inflatable dinghy?

Hi there - I have a 7'6" Lightspeed inflatable dinghy I keep on the roof of my 28' Kingfisher and am thinking about getting an electric motor for 'Little Star' - rating for it is 5hp, and there's a 3hp equivalent in Abbotsford that may work. Others talk about 45 or 55 foot pounds of torque? Would a 3hp or 45 ft lbs be ok for a 60 lb dinghy, and a couple of people up to 300lbs or so to go ship to shore etc? in a little wind and current? thx!

Make sure it is a salt water use electric motor or it will not last long. 45lbs of thrust would move it along in flat calm not tide conditions. A small outboard would be a better choice. Just my opinion.
