downrigger rods

Looking for a pair of fairly decent downrigger rods! IF anyone has a few laying around! Any suggestions on types and brands?

Go with a ugly stick, they stand up well and dont chip cause ther fiberglass

You might try PNT they had some used shamanos for a good price

For an all around great (especially for the price) set of rods go with the Shimano Convergence. You can pick them up for less than $90 a rod, great warrenty and the play both small fish and big fish just fine. Much nice feel than the ugly stick too.

I'd go with Fennwick,or Shimano Teckeim both solid rods.[^]
