Hope he's alright, that guys too young to be having all these problems, good thoughts are going out to Captain Phil, get better!

Terrible but not surprising. Anyone at that age that can't remember how many cigarettes they got going at one time can't be far from serious medical problems.

One of the stars of the reality show "Deadliest Catch" suffered a stroke yesterday while in port at St. Paul Island, according to Web sites associated with the show.

An engineer found Cornelia Marie captain Phil Harris on the floor of his stateroom, according to the Cornelia Marie Web site. He was immediately taken to a clinic in St. Paul -- the same place he was treated for a blood clot two years ago -- and flown to Anchorage for treatment, the site says.

"Phil is at a good hospital and receiving the best care possible," wrote Morgan Howard, the son of Cornelia Marie Devlin, majority owner of the F/V Cornelia Marie.

"My mother ... and Jake Harris are with him at the hospital. Josh is staying on the boat to help the new relief skipper who is flying out there today. The boat is in the harbor now, but needs to be able to leave in case the ice shifts and moves in," Howard wrote.

Harris was in port, off-loading his boat at the time of the stroke, according the Discovery Channel Web site.

"Deadliest Catch" Captain Phil Harris is reportedly in a coma after undergoing 12 hours of surgery Sunday night.

The Seattle-based skipper of the Cornelia Marie, who suffered a stroke on Friday, was placed under a medically-induced coma to reduce brain swelling, TMZ reports.

A source close to Harris' family said his sons, Cornelia Marie deckhands Jake and Josh, were hoping to speak with the doctors Monday.

The boys released the following statement through the Discovery Channel,

"Josh and Jake Harris thank everyone for their heartfelt thought and prayers. 'The Deadliest Catch' community has always been more like family than just fans, and Discovery Channel joins the Harris boys in thanking everyone for their wishes of support. Captain Phil is resting comfortably and is in the care of excellent doctors and nurses. We will update everyone on his progress as best we can."

Harris was flown to an Anchorage hospital Friday after suffering a stroke while unloading his boat at a port on St. Paul Island, Alaska.

According to the Discovery Channel Web site, Derek Ray, a family friend, will assume the role of captain on the Cornelia Marie while Harris recovers.

Captain Phil Harris from "Deadliest Catch" woke up from a medically induced coma Tuesday, according to his sons -- and immediately started barking commands from his Anchorage hospital bed Jake and Josh Harris tell TMZ their dad "showed some good signs of improvement" today, including squeezing their hands.

Harris' sons -- who both work with him aboard the F/V Cornelia Marie -- say they are "encouraged but still very cautious" as Captain Phil recovers from the stroke he suffered on Friday.

One really good sign -- his sons tell us that shortly after waking up, Harris told his doctors and nurses: "Don't f**k up."

Aye, aye Captain.
