Our sincere thanks goes out to all of the participants and sponsors who took part in Davey Derby XII.
Lots of time and effort goes into the organizing of events such as this but once again, we were rewarded with lots of laughs and a great group of people that that were determined to join us in our cause. Over $25,000.00 was raised.
We had two of the charities we support at this years' awards ceremony.
Colleen Fuller from the Cowichan Food Basket Society explained to us how many people they feed each day fom their soup kitchen or give food hampers to. We presented her with a cheque for $3000.00
Ron Erickson from KidSport Cowichan then told us what it is that they do to make our communities a better place to live by ensuring that money is not an object for any child who wants to take part in organized sports.
We will be sending KidSport Cowichan a cheque for$4,500.00.
