Cowichan flyfishing

Heading up on Friday, river is at 1000cfs, should be good, will let you know, gonna float it

Was a beautiful day on the river, sunny, river level was great, fished upper reaches, caught a few rainbows on egg pattern, hardly any Springs showing at all, none showing in usual spawning areas, doesnt look like a good run year, but...just nice to be out

any other reports on the Cowichan ????

Drifted the upper the other day. Not as productive as was hoping. More salmon up higher than below 70.2 mile bridge. Saw lots of big browns but no takers. Egg pattern was the ticket for rainbows.

thanks for that skins, apparantly more salmon moved in and the trout moved down from the lake
