Bought a new MR2

I understand tooling up for production is expensive, but I'm sure most of the work is now automated .
each to their own on this, but I'm sticking my ground.
(and they still creep)

Cheap moochers don't creep because they have ****** drags. An Islander creeps because of the high quality drag and the small amount of inertia that it takes to engage the drag. That's why a Diawa or Shimano pumps the rod with a big fish, and an Islander is a seamless smooth drag. If your Islander creeps, you are using it wrong. lol. Strip another two pulls of line and be happy you have the best salmon reel on the market (and that's why its expensive). Be even happier that you didn't buy some overseas knock-off and the reel you are using to put fish on your table was made by your neighbors.
