Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Fundamentally, if you find an Arima with reliable power, you can hardly go wrong. Even a cosmetically rough hull will be pretty much bullet proof. This seller claims that there is no wood - this is not true - that year has wood in the transom, however, it is not much of a worry as it is not structural.
Asking price of this particular boat seems a bit high to me.
I went and looked at the Arima and gave a review on it a bit back in the thread. Rides crooked and no functional trim tabs. Unkown hours on engine, kicker not integrated into fuel system, unknown if the riggers work or not.

I've been involved in bringing a few out west.. can typically find a nice 02-04 for about $20-22k USD + $3500 shipping and conversion gets you in the $32-34k ballpark.

Thanks. Do you have a surveyor you use? Facetime style? The one I show does have 4 stroke main and kicker though so there is some price discrepancy.

Honestly I usually just ask on a local forum as far as the surveyor goes. Agreed that a nicely kept 208 with 4stroke can quickly get you closer to $30k usd.

My advice is to always make sure you are coming out ahead on the $$$ as the boat will have unexpected issues/damage/blemishes to repair. Typically I just ask the surveyor to take extra photos (maybe offer a little more money) and then some videos and upload to a shared doc.

Can also have the boat shipped north across the border to save some money then drive the rest of the way yourself.
