This seems to be both interesting and troubling at the same time. One wonders if anything could possibly go wrong with developing virus strains to use as weapons to kill invasive fish species that are causing problems with eco systems they did not evolve in. How about we just don't introduce alien species into ecosystem they don't belong in, in the first place, often because some genius thinks they can make a buck by doing so. Carp farms, escaped bullfrogs farmed for their legs causing havoc in lakes that had never been exposed to them or highly aggressive African bees into the Americas as an experiment to increase honey production. There are no doubt some good examples a little closer to home.
