Did you try the salt water fishing reports and the area report that pertains to what you were hoping to find?
2023 Victoria and Oak Bay Reports
Nice day to be out on the water but pretty quiet as far as fishing went around the gap. For myself anyways. Crabbing was good. Kept four keepers but threw back a couple of monsters that were a little too soft. They seemed to like Turkey carcass, stuffing and all.

Understood, however, often the regs are discussed within those forums. Especially when an opening is about to happen, or close.

Springs are open 2 per day greater than 45 cm in area 19
Coho 2 per day only 1 unclipped
Total of 4 salmon in possession, max 2 springs

Took me a long time to locate those maps -- it would be nice to have them more prominently located.

In area 20 if you do not retain any wild coho you can keep 4 hatchery coho per day for max possession limit of 8!

To make even more confusing 19-5 to 19-12 62 cm minimum for springs 19-7 to 19-12 Saanich inlet non retention for springs till Oct 15
