Rods in at first light today.
7 hours from the Quay to Lone Tree etc.
No action had or seen.
We sent the bait for a swim too and it came back without any teeth marks...
The old timers packed it in by 9am.
A seiner? was working the area hard, they did many sets.
There was a school of very large salmon at the mouth of the river putting on a good show.
We enjoyed a J&L lunch and went home, nice day in the harbour!

On the water this morning at 7 AM (fog) fished Franklin River nothing, yup, everyone disappeared at 9 AM. First fish at 9:30, 12 lb hatchery coho. 40 ft white hootchie. Second fish 2:30, 14 lb spring. 40 ft, green and chrome Coyote.

Any reports on the Canal? Looked pretty quiet at Clutesi this afternoon when I drove by. See there is a native coho opening tomorrow night but is it worth dragging the boat over for a fish tomorrow morning...wind forecast looks bad for my local area (Nanaimo).
Cheers
