After Market Manifolds and Risers?

Good or bad idea?

Mine are well past their sell by date and Mercruiser parts for my 1999 V6 4.3 are +-$1800 for a $10000 boat.

Mainifoldwarehouse.com is over on the lower mainland. I purchased a set of Aluminum Manifolds and Risers from them for my old Mercruiser 5.7. They were a perfect fit and ended up running half the cost. They have both Aluminum and Cast Iron units made by HGE.

Next set I get would be from these guys: http://www.perfprotech.com/store/articles/marine-exhaust.aspx -- same HGE manifolds but they have a ceramic coating in and out and a 5 year warranty.

At $616 theses PPT manifolds seem the way to go!

The PPT's are basically the same HGE manifolds with the ceramic coating on them. I used the HGE's and they were a very good product. Perfect fit. The only downside, is that it's a little tighter fit to get your spark plugs out after these as the cut-aways aren't as big.
