9.8 Tohatsu/nissan

I have been running a 9.8 Tohatsu as a trolling motor (lots of hours) for two years and it has been absolutely flawless! The only change I made was to a four blade prop. Pushing my old 20 footer...

I'm in the market for a new remote kicker. I've had quotes on Yamaha, Mercs etc... Called the guys in Sooke and they can get a 20Hp Tohatsu with remote controls for about $1000 less than a Yamaha 9.9 with remote. That's a great price! Twice the power at 25% lower cost.

I had a Tohatsu kicker on one of my previous boats. It was a great engine...only complaint is that my next boat came with a kicker and I had a ***** of a time selling the Tohatsu...ended up basically giving it away.
