150 HP Yamaha

Anybody know of any local yamaha dealers with any good deals on a new 150 HP Yamaha four stroke ? Don't care if it's not the current year, as long as it's new ( 50 hours or less, I might consider)Has to be a Yammi as the boat is pre rigged for that manufacturer.

you mihgt want too look at a HPDI yamaha too, more often then you might think they have better fuel economy than the four strokes

Hey CB, I was by SG Power the other day and saw that they have some used Yammy 150HP engines: 4strokes, 2strokes, and HPDIs. Don't know the history on them. If you haven't already found an engine I'd give them a call. PLus they might have some fleet returns soon. Those guys are usually willing to haggle a little with the prices so give them a hard time if you see one you like. I bought 2 Yammy's from them in the past (150hp and a 225hp) and have been very happy with the engines and service. If you tell them what your after they'll call ya if one shows up.

urchin i dont no if that was sarcastic or not [] but 2 strokes are usually much lighter.. heres the performace numbers of twin 200 4 strokes vs. twin 200 HPDI's on a 23' Grady White

hpdi's smallest moter is 200 h.p by the way

hpdi is faster and better on fuel as wellas being lighter

Those weights are right off yamaha's website. 200 yamaha hpdi is the same weight as the 150 hpdi. Yamaha's smallest hpdi is the 150 hp. Difference in price though $2400.00 for the 200 hpdi. An you only have to change one oil instead of two.

Thanks Yammy5, I emailed them and am awaiting a response. They have a 2005 lease return 150 hp too. Will wait til jan/feb to buy one. The slowest time for sales and will be willing to jump at a fist full of cash.

hey country booy , this might not be at all what your after, but i know there is a 200hp merc at the govt auction, 1994, needs a new prop, so far the higgest bid is just over $500, just thought i would throw it out there for ya, or anyone else who is looking
