I know in Ontario with electrical engineers this climate change denial stuff is frowned upon and can have severe repercussions. I have seen it scare the bejesus out of some of them.

JEEPERE! What a great idea! Engineers, lawyers, doctors, teachers - biologists even - have a professional designation process. We even have one for science - called the peer-review process - climate ones I already posted. Wouldn't it be great if reporters and PR firms had one too?

I read in the climate report on the cowichan valley that by 2o50 they expect to have a 365 day growing season.

Great for plants but my guess is that kind of water demand not so good for the fishes.

I am not sure why someone who has a specific question wouldn't search the science literature 1st (educating and empowering themselves) - instead of coming to their own unsupported allegation that somehow it's all a big scam by those untrustworthy climate scientists - while we should instead trust baby feeding hardware sellers and economists hired to do PR work for big oil & coal publishing denier blogs.

I find that approach sad, destructive, disempowering, irresponsible and silly - and outdated. cognitive dissonance, again.

Comments like this are insulting to the researchers that have dedicated their whole careers to the topic. Posting actual study results from scientific sources that are peer-reviewed is not propaganda.

If you think for a single second that the resistance against the carbon tax comes solely from the people CTV (paid shill media) are pointing fingers at, you are even more delusional than has been suggested.

The majority of people in Canada well recognize that we (Canada) is actually a Carbon Sink, that we are "responsible" for comparatively insignificant releases of carbon dioxide, and that the Carbon Tax as imposed by Trudeau eta al (and maintained here in BC by the NDGreens) is nothing more than a government funding exercise. The resistance has been grass roots level since inception (including BC where the LML and Vic over-ruled common sense once again). That continues to grow, and will likely be one of the defining issues that sees the liberals tossed from cabinet. The liberals are so afraid of that at this point they have publicly stated there will be "no increases" in the tax should they be elected (likely an election lie) and are discussing abandoning it altogether. Too little, too late (one can hope).
