Sensitive Holmes? Loss must have got to you. rome's hit last year was called late. Same amount of time had lapsed as browns hit. And it wasn't late? Then I guess Rome got suspended for finishing his check.

Does Schneider start tonight? I think he does, which spells the end of luongo's time in Vancouver. Look for him to be unloaded in the offseason, if they can find a buyer. He won't want to be here if he sat on the bench in the biggest game of the year. I guess after they win tonight, they ride the scneid the rest of the way to the cup!
 
Sorry holmes it was late along with the rome hit and last nights hit BUT the thing is there is NO consistancy in what they dish out in suspensions last years hit that rome did was basically the same and he gets WHACKED on the pee pee for it and gone if there wasnt such bias all fans would be happy.
simple soulution and the players know it smack a guy and maybe you get a penalty maybe you dont so what do they care oooooohhh maybe ill get a call from shanny telling me "dont do that" heres your 2500 buck fine WOW theres a hit player makes 3 mill a year oww that hurts doesnt it that player probablly has that amount as his spending money in his wallet!!!!! now throw out the instigator penalty these puss butt wimps wont take liberties on other players cause they would be looking over there shoulder as they know they going to get it!!!!! I think removing the red line sped the game up a ton as well. Guys are bigger, stronger, and faster now. Why don't they make the rink bigger? We don't have to go olympic size, but add a few feet to all dimensions. I would think that would eliminate some of the garbage we're seeing. Just a thought.

It might create more speed, but it also might give the puck carrier more time to get rid of it and look for the incoming goon. I don't seem to recall this many bad hits in international games. It seems like the NHL is so close and compact, which makes the game move so fast. I actually think while guys might be able to generate more speed on a bigger ice surface, I think the speed of the game over all would slow down because taking a run at a guy might put you way out of position and hurt you more than it does right now. I don't play hockey, but have played very high level soccer. I know in small sided games, the pace is quick and guys are on you right away and tackles are quite hard. As soon as we spread the field a bit, the pace slows down as you have further to travel to get to your check, therefore giving him more time to distribute. It essentially slows the game down. Might work in hockey, might not. I just don't like seeing so many players get hurt. Somebody will die on the ice because of a stupid hit sooner or later.
 
Holmes you sure you're not a closet canucks fan?? You watch every game, follow every news headline and post on here more than anyone else. You especially seem to have a thing for Luo. :confused:
 
They still have to put the puck in the back of the net. But they do seem to play for schnieder. BYE BYE lou.....Hello dmen. I hope!

The Nucks can make NHL history tonight. If you go out, might as well be with a record. No other team in history has won the presidents cup and have gone out 4 straight. If they don't win, is Van in for a total rebuild. Get rid of Sedin twins and bring in North American talent.

Coaching cahnge for sure. Possibly GM too. Then start tinkering. Don't need a total rebuild just major tuning.
 
Well hopefully this NY/OT game doesn't go into OT... mind, there is a pretty good lacrosse game going on in Philly... Sucks to be Pips
