Headed to Cabo for 10 days tuesday , have two of the better boats and captains, the Bill Collector II and BB II booked for 4 days of flying the kite for big YFT!

Awesome! There’s been some quality fish caught lately. Have fun.

Put two in the box yesterday around Hutt Island, between the markers around 150' of depth. Fish were right on bottom so lots of rigger adjusting needed, and anyone watching my tack would have thought I was blind drunk. But no!

Amazing to see how two fish, almost the same length, can be so different in their growth. One broad and with tons of intramuscular fat on her. The second skinny and lean.

Here’s my buddy with a 368 lb super cow we got out of San Jose to win the Los Cabos tournament 3 years ago. Got it on a live 10 lb skipjack tuna

Got one on a chartreuse hootchie / chartreuse flasher and the other on an ultraviolet green / silver spoon. Had to trim the hootchie skirt because I was getting fish and they were not sticking. Bite was strong a starting the usual hour before high tide and I had 5 undersized to the boat along with 3 copper rockfish.

I actually really wouldn't have recommended it for most boats. We made it to Anvil on our way to Defense and got turned around. Definitely had to search out calmer seas and fished with the wind for most of the day.

Today I got out for a couple hours after coaching soccer. 1130-300 at the bell. We trolled out into the wind storm. We got two small non-keepers. Saw tons of bait around the freighters, but nothing big enough. My neighbor at the marina landed a beauty spring right at the bell. He said it was good in the morning. I'd be out tomorrow if it weren't for Halloween.

Coming out of the harbor at first light the conditions were amazing. We had such high hopes as we left it behind.

As whitecaps were breaking on the side of our boat the wind was blowing the mist into our boat under the roof. We decided to check the forecast. It said "light wind"
