Humminbird Helix 7 G2

Does anyone have one of these or have any experience using Humminbird as a fish finder/GPS combo? Any information would be appreciated.

I am trying to decide between the Humminbird Helix 7 G2 that or the Lowrance Hook 7. Both come with NAV+ and fit under my budget of 1000.

I have a crap ton of gift cards for Cabelas so I am limited in what they have to offer at this point

I've ran a helix 7 for about a year and a half. Happy with it and the bigger screen is totally worth it. Easy to use, fast computer, good clarity. I got mine for $7xx so it's a good price point for my needs. I do wish it had a better transducer, something more powerful. No issues with the satellite and the plotter it nice. Takes a bit to tweak it and I'm sure mine still has its training wheels on. I think next step up would be a simrad or Lowrance HDS but that's down the road.
