Just curious how big of a gas tank my fellow anglers are running around in (30' and under). I saw some pretty big tanks (Nedarb2 = 900L DAMN!!)

Just for fun...

Length, capacity, and dry weight.

Me: 24.5' - 103 Gallon (390 Liters) - 3500 lbs

17.1' - 22 Gallon (99L) 1430lbs. To small for what I do only down fall of my boat.

26.25,125 imp gals... 3500 lbs... this seems like a tonne of fuel for whatever i do... usually run between 1/4 and 1/2 tank when hittin the banks.... and can do three trips before fuelling again... full tank is just way to heavy to cruise around with,, we will see how it does for tuna!!!

24 ft podded Orca-136 us gals-522lt. A trip for 3 days to Winter harbour-out to the hiway at least 3 times usually takes around 240 to 280 lts depending on sea conditions

I just realized somebody thought that much fuel weighed 3500 lbs-it doesn't-roughly weighs 1.9lbs per liter or in my case 522 litres or 136 us gals is 991.8 lbs. -Give or take!!!

23 foot striper - 105 USG (400 litres) Used to be more of an issue when I was running that 2 stroke FICHT 200, Now that I am on 250 Yamaha 4 stroke, plently of fuel for 3 days +

25 ft Carolina Classic - 180 US gallons = 681 litres = 1,287 lbs of #2 Diesel. I almost always run with full tanks as the reduction in fuel makes no tangible difference in speed in my 12,000 lb boat

18.5 Double Eagle 302 I/O. 140 litre tank. Not sure of dry weight, maybe 2500-3000 lbs. I can burn between 20 to 30 litres per hour at a 20 to 23 knot cruise on average (i.e. weight in boat and sea conditions being "average"). Obviously the 20 litres per hour is with a light boat and smooth seas.

23' Edwing battleship.
The boat weighs around 4700lbs loaded.
105 US gallon tank. Plenty of fuel for tuna etc. We were burning less than half a tank on the trips last year.

27' Lifetimer, 2 x 50 gallon tanks cruise at 24mph @ 10-11gph. I'm around 8000lbs loaded

28.5 Hourston.............. 6000 lbs........ 100 gals burning 10 gals/hr cruise

Length: 25'-6; fuel capacity: 568 l.; dry weight: 4100 lbs.

Same size tank in my 21 Striper......Lots of range for my rig

1993 bayliner 2452, 25', 68 gallons, 6000lbs + loaded,

1997 silverstreak cuddy 19'+pod, approx 3500lbs dry, was told 49gallon tank (not confirmed)

27 feet; primary tank - 150 gallons; auxiliary tank - 50 gallons; dry weight - 4,660 lbs.

Fuel gauge drives me crazy ... when the gauge reads empty for the primary tank I never need more than 400 litres even though the primary tank capacity is close to 570 litres (at 150 us gallons).
