I built one up with fibreglass & epoxy some years ago. worked fine.

Just try not to cover the sensor part of the transducer.

Hi TO, just don't use 5 minute epoxy, while strong it doesn't have the waterproof characteristics of the regular.

Build it up using "JB Weldbond", or "Marine Epoxy" compound. Either one should work for you.
Make it good and strong because they take a lot more abuse than you would think.

New transducer mounting kit at Mikes Reel Repair in Abby $15. I did the same thing in the summer and ordered a new mounting kit from them online. They put it on the bus and I had it in a couple days.

Dont bother epoxying. It will just break again much easier. Just find a flat spot on your hull and epoxy it to your hull to shoot through the hull.

Epoxy has worked fine for mine for several year now. Just cast a solid block around the prone area and this should solve yuo problem.
