still any fish coming off the waterfront?

But seeing that you loathe the guys in big Gradys...I'll make sure I wave when I troll past you! :)

Chill Fishing Brother. Just a little friendly teasing thats all.
Here is another jab. See if you can take it.

Another big bonus from manual downriggers is the great honking Manly Arms you get from cranking those suckers up and down in the winter.
Down 120', oops slipped the rigger, wind back up 120', crank back down 120'.... Now the other side.
Thats how we get these "Twin Pipes of Fury".
With electric what do I get? A large muscular thumb?

See.. its fishing as a form of exercise.:)

Yaah I know. Maybe one day.

Looking not bad for wind tomorrow! Its been so windy, I'm thinking its been awhile since those winter springs have seen a lure. Nice and chubby and lulled into a false sence of security I'm thinking.
And I'm off work....

Put in a 3 hour shift this afternoon between Trial and the flagpole....nada!
using spoons and hootchies and fishing between 140-170'
not a bite.[V]
got 3 crab on the way back in, so not a total loss.
water was calm, but there was a big swell.
i guess it's time to go to Sooke !

Launch at Cheanuh and fish inside becher bay,
between 100-125' using green/glo flashers and spoons/hootchies
sounds alot better than the waterfront right now !

Fished Constance & Clover point for 2 hours this a.m. without
a sniff. Just about ready to quit when we noticed birds starting to
dive right as the tide turned to an ebb.
Both rods go off, and we landed 9 & 5 lb Springs on green glo and
purple Tomic spoons.:D
Got the gear back in the water for another pass , and 5 mins
later both rods go off again. This time we only got one in about
8lbs.
The ball ups stopped and birds thinned out and it was over.
Weird to get 4 hits, 2 double headers in about 10 minutes after
fishing 2 hours with no action

where the feed is where the fish are.You got into a school of springs chasing feed..its a beautiful thing[:p]
