Southcoast Chinook Regs

Not sure how everyone else interprets the current regs but i was incorrect in thinking you can keep one wild over 67cm. and any size hatchery fish.
According to creel census, the new regs read "one fish over 67cm."
therefore it matters not wild or hatchery if you kill one over, you're done
unless you want to keep fishing for a small fish. (under 8lbs.)

Makes no sense to me, aren't all these restrictions in place to protect wild fish ?

RS, if u r talking about Area 18-20 and the 67cm size limit, you can keep either hatchery or wild after June 17. Prior to that it's hatchery only, switches June 18 to either, and then goes to regular limits July 15. The closure is designed to protect the spawning female Early timed Fraser chinook, where 85% of spawning females are over 77cm. Run timing is why it goes in steps.

Thanks G.C.
Just want to make sure everyone knows, that it's one fish only over 67cm.
if you have 2 fish, the other must be under wild or hatchery.

Funny Topic. Just yesterday I was asked by a couple oldschool guys at the dock if I could clarify for them as they were confused. Why cant DFO just state it like that, I wouldn't need my lawyer r.s craven to clarify it for me. :)
