Very Cool Robert !!! Our Tyee Club Historian has linked some of Gibbs changes in spoon design to his visits to the Tyee Club of BC in Campbell River. The "Improved" Stewart spoon first appeared after Gibbs had fished in Campbell River and observed that the top Guides filed down the leading edge of their Gibbs Stewart Spoons to fish better in faster current.

I've read a number of articles over the years about GIBBS history and I have to say that I really enjoyed this one. There was a bit more information that I did not know. BC and Pacific Northwest USA tackle history is my favorite. I love old fishing tackle history of any kind.
