Slingsby Channel/ Belize Inlet questions

I am headed up to the PH area on a cruising/fishing trip and plan to head towards Belize inlet. Has anyone had experience fishing Slingsby channel and that area for chinook and coho? Any tips or advice would be helpful. The buddy boat that we are travelling area knows the area very well from a boating perspective but has limited knowledge on fishing.

just past the inlet the PH guides hit the outer rock on the corner of the long sandy beach ....
careful going into the inlet you can get standing waves due to the rapids
so watch the tide times ....
also follow the guide boats as there is a certain tack line around the area ....

x2 on the standing waves coming into slingsby , got caught in these a few years ago and had to make a few quick decisions to get our safe . ended up spending 4 nights fishing the wall and over nighting in miles inlet just down the coast , great anchorage .
