Just wanted everyone to mark their calendar for the upcoming Sidney Anglers Derby. It is a one day derby on May 4th but there is a dinner the night before (May 3rd) as well as after the derby on the 4th. Tons of prizes, and a $10,000 first prize.
Tickets go on sale March 1st. Most importantly, the Sidney Anglers donate 100% of the funds made at the derby to salmon enhancement on Southern Vancouver Island.
Anyone who has attended knows that this is a great event. Very well organized and a great time.
And based upon results in the Sidney area this winter, it looks to be a very good year for Spring salmon. I mean - even me and Stizzla are catching fish
