Save Long Lake Boat Ramp In Nanaimo

Apparently we have the heard that the City may possibly shut down the Long Lake Boat Ramp. This property is owned by te Ministry of Transportation due to it being an easement. It was a rest stop and people made into a boat ramp, and complaints may win over unless we stand up! Long Lake is interesting because it sits like a puddle on the side of rocky hills, yet it is large, especially if you peek around the corner from the highway - driving by, it is easy to underestimate Long Lake, despite its name. Long Lake provides recreation for rowers, swimmers, fishermen, water skiers tubing and any other boating actives.
