Making damn sure a lot of fishermen have zippo to fish for early in the year . I am still waiting for the data that shows there is a wide ranging conservation issue that are not being addressing by releasing berried prawns and pulse fishing.. Whats next ?? Close down the flounder fishery ?

I am as well.

Ya, not happy that the positive benefit of berried prawn release was not taken into account. Seems rather fruitless to take the high road to endorse berried prawn release and see no significant consideration given to it.

Has reducing the daily quota actually effected the rec annual harvest rate?

I still don't agree with it, but it is done now.

If I've learned anything its far from being done probably just the beginning. Managing daily quotas for the rec sector has never increased abundance. Probably wont be done till we have some season mimicking the commercial sector, With specific areas reserved for First Nation harvest only.
