Prawn Trap Line

I am looking for rope to use with prawn traps, Prefer 400ft lengths let me know what you have. Lower Mainland

Hey Partay...not a deal but I used the prawn rope Stevenstons has. It is has 100' of leaded rope spliced to 300' of poly. The poly packs nicely and the leaded portion keeps the top of your line down. Its lighter cuz its not all leaded and its a little friendlier on the hands with 300' of poly. Last purchase the 400' was about $60. Boat show had it for $45 which they may still honor. Cheers!

I was think of buying this rope on amazon it is 1/4 inch or or should I be going larger? Adding the leaded line sounds like a good idea.

I figured I would ask around maybe somebody is trying to get rid or some

The thinner the rope the harder it is on your hands.

If you use something like this you need to buy the right sized rope or it won't work right.

I bought 1800' of lead line for 160 bucks.

I got lots of leaded line. Open too offers wanting to switch to something lighter. Or combo of leader and prolly steel

I use thin lead core line so the guys who raid my traps pay a big price.

I have used polyester groundline (sinks-good shape) 1/4" $.03/ft, 5/16" $.04/ft, 3/8" $.05/ft
