This 9 Wt 10 foot (2 piece) rod was recently custom built for me by Andy Sneddon who is a well respected master rod builder. This rod is brand new and has never been used. I have fished its identical predecessor (which was built by another rod crafter) for many years for steelhead on the Bulkley, Babine, Morice and Skeena rivers. It has served me well for salmon (both chinook and coho) on those same rivers. In addition I have used it as a downrigger rod (made possible by a 4 inch butt extension) primarily for winter springs. It has also been very effective as a bucktail rod for coho.
I am looking to get $400-$450 for the rod or a similar value in a trade for a 9 wt 10 foot 3 piece or 4 piece rod with a medium quality anodized fly reel. Open to a variety of trades.
