Don't believe look up 90 day window rolling closure?

That is a do nothing, political imposition designed to make it look like the feds are "doing something".
In fear of having them SARA listed (which is very much against the desires of the FN's who rule them) DFO imposed this.
It does absolutely nothing to address the matter.
Period.

I have fished the West Coast commercially and recreationally for decades.
Caught one in the chuck in the Inlet here when fishing sockeye.
Nothing, as in NADA for the countless thousands of hours put in elsewhere....

Out of thousands of hours gillnetting, only caught one at Nitnat. Had a revival tank and in it went for a refresher and swam off vigorously.
I caught more escaped Atlantic salmon than steelhead!
And opposed to some of these earlier reports, commercial guys and gals know the difference between target salmon and steelhead.
Somebody may have been catching steelhead, but it was very very rare for the fleet I knew to catch any.
