Hi guys,
I have a 470 powerplant for sale with 600 hours on the gauge. The engine is coming out of a Houston 20' Sedan. (Although the gauge collects hours when the engine is keyed on but not powered up so honestly, I bet the engine has less than 600 hours) I had the key on an entire weekend racking up hours didn't realize it.
I'm not very experienced with inboards but the engine started up once I gave it fresh fuel. The spark plugs looked clean I don't know the age of them but no sign of rust on tips or water in the cylinders.
I let the engine run for about 5 minutes, with the muffs on it and shifts in and out of F, N and R were smooth and powerful throughout the RPM ranges. (I have videos of this operation ) The engine starter sounded a bit lazy but I believe the battery cables are pretty corroded and not giving the starter the full amount of juice it really wants.
The bad: Carb seal to the engine intake manifold leaked fuel. So that needs a new gasket.

Throttle cables and quicksilver shifter unit
Gauges
Lower unit with aluminium prop
I will put everything on a pallet and can arrange for shipping if that's required.
