Mercury 115 4 stroke

Hi,

I have a 115 merc 4 stroke with 160 hrs on it (6 months old). It started to smoke a couple of weeks ago, shut it off, oil level was high with fuel in it. Its now in the shop, 2 weeks now, mercury rep hasn't found whats wrong. So now I wait.... Anyone have any issues with these motors??

It’s not a Merc but my Yam 4 cycle developed similar symptoms. Fuel pump diafram had split allowing fuel to seep into the block.

Thanks for the response SFM, I do believe the merc's and Yam's have the same powerhead. Other parts maybe shared as well, don't know for sure. I'll forward this info to the "experts"....
