That's a mercruiser one leg, alphas started late 80's and had the flat top on the upper gear housing with no lifting eye. great legs though

that is a mercruiser 1 leg from the 1970's.
top and bottom, both.
note the rounded edges behind the trailing trim zinc, the rounded top, the red Mercruiser emblem, and the lack of a plastic insert where the water enters the leg.
