Massive Schools of Perch - Underwater VIDEO

This video shows some of the massive perch schools we followed on Lake Simcoe in Ontario on May 7, 2015.

All of the footage was taken in shallow water (6 to 10 feet) in the Sibbalds Point area and the schools had good mixes of jumbos and juveniles.

Some good sized smallies were also seen in and around the perch schools.

Decent eating when they're big enough.

They're really tasty! Lake Simcoe has a very healthy population of perch and plenty of good eating sized fish can be found.

 

[JUST ONE MORE]

We used to have an ice hut right out there. Back in the 80's that was our go to spot for jumbo perch. Cooked them right on the ice. The occasional big pile would swim through the hole area and make life very exciting.
