Went on a couple of offshore charters out from Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico this past couple of weeks. We boated a nice striped marlin 10 ft long including bill, no suitable scale around, skipper estimated 75 kg/160 lb. Fishing was generally slow compared to what we have seen in previous years in this area - cool currents being viewed as the culprit. There were fish around but not biting as often or as aggressively due to metabolism slowed by cold. I still got a small dorado and a pair of yellowfin tuna in the 20-30 lb range. we had a sashimi good time!
