have been looking to buy new river hawk pro v 16 welded aluminum looking for opinions on boat rated for 60 hp. ,chime 60 ,beam 82 sorry should have posted under boats, motor, trailer need help mod. thanks

Don't know that boat but seems very similar to the new Marlon Boats that were being shown off at the Abbotsford Sportsmen's show: http://www.marlonproducts.com/jon-boat-specs.asp?JonID=29

Very similar specs: 15 or 17 ft length options, 60" floor, 82" beam, 4 box seats, rated up to 70 hp and can be set up as a tiller, side console or centre console.

See there is a river hawk pro v 16 w/ 40hp tiller model in PG for $16,900. I think the tiller Marlon's with that range of power were significantly less expensive than that at the show.

Kingfisher(warrior tiller), Hewescraft (open fishermen) and Koffler (jet drifter or special) also all make similar boats to that Riverhawk. The Koffler jet drifter and Koffler special are sweet looking boats! http://kofflerboats.com/power-boats/

Bridgeview has new Merc 50 for just under $8k, 60hp just over ... so similar for $500 less than the Riverhawk package you get a bit longer boat and significantly more power (60hp vs 40hp).
