Is it possible to have too much bilge pump?

So this thread had me in the driveway going after a mid ship bilge pump.
Pump worked, but nothing going out the hose.
Had to snake out the hose, weird stuff clogging it up.
Had to use the manual pump to remove a bunch of liquid before seeing what we are working on.
All works well now.

Timely thread. No such thing as too much pumpage!

Bee nest??? One of the boat where i use to store mine years ago add bees living in his bilge hose lol

That was the other 'laugh' yesterday in the driveway.
Freaking yellowjackets making a nest under the cabin roof overhang.
Thought I would swat them, bad move. Going back with fire early tomorrow morning.
"I love the smell of burning wasps in the morning, smells like... victory!"

The bilge plug looked like a yellowish vaseline. It was plugging the fitting running through the engine bulkhead.
I usually don't mind dirty jobs, but this was nasty.
