Herring - Baynes sound - TONS

ALl day at work yesterday and the day before we were surrounded by fields of juvenile herring (3)".

Gulls hitting them, salmon driving them up - very encouraging. Especially in this area which has been seemingly devoid for so long.

And I do mean fields, not just balls. A couple of times the little bastards were on the surface for several hundred feet or so.

Dont worry. By tomorrow DFO will issue a opening and they will be gone.

I must concur, there is much more bait around this year. Me thinks it is the reason there is so many fish on the inside. Hopefully DFO does not figure this out.

Right, DFO must have made a mistake for huge amounts of herring to be in the strait. Nice to hear this info. Will keep an eye out for them.
