Any helps hints for fishing for kokanee?

Thanks! Fishing for kokanee here in Northern CA is becoming more popular. I just bought several new lures (weetads) & tyee hootchies. From what I can find, it seems hootchies are more popular than they are here.

Being a guide, I am always looking for ways to improve my fishing techniques.
