Help repairing a pair of trumpet horns

Hello you all marine electrical incline people!
My boat has a pair of trumpet horns that used to work sometimes and now do not work at all. Are these horns repairable or should I just trash them and get a new set? I have taken them apart and from what I can tell they look normal but I am not an expert on what to look for.

are you sure they are getting power? and the problem isn't in the wiring going to the horns?? is there any sound coming out at all?

The only thing that usually goes wrong with the horns is rust. If they look clean inside-sandpaper the points to make sure they are clean also. Pretty sure they have power doesn't cut it-if there is absolutely no sound get a meter on the power connection-make sure!!

You cant be "fairly sure there is power". you need to actually check for voltage at the horn.

You should also check and make sure you have good connections on the negative side too. if they were working intermittently, then not at all sounds like a loose/corroded connection somewhere that finally failed.

Thanks to all! yes it was lack of power.
Great sale at princess auto for shrinkable connectors!
